The Process of Creating Digital CAD/CAM Restorations
In our dental lab, we combine advanced technology with traditional dental expertise to create digital CAD/CAM restorations. Here’s an overview of the process:
Digital Scanning
The process starts with capturing digital impressions of the patient's mouth using intraoral scanners or traditional impressions.
Design Phase
The impressions are then converted into a 3D virtual model using CAD software, allowing for adjustments and perfect alignment with the patient's dental anatomy.
CAM Process
In this phase, the digital design is transformed into the physical restoration using sophisticated CAM machinery, which carves the restoration from high-quality materials, such as all ceramics, metal, titanium bars, PMMA, PEEK, custom abutments.
Finishing Touches
The final step is refining the restoration, including adjustments in color and texture, to ensure it matches the patient's natural teeth.
What Materials Are Made With CAD/CAM Technology?
There is a wide range of materials that can be used in CAD/CAM dental products. Here are some examples:
Zirconia
Zirconia is a durable and biocompatible ceramic material known for its strength and natural appearance. It is often used for the fabrication of crowns, bridges, and implant-supported restorations.
E-max (Lithium Disilicate)
E-max is highly valued for its translucency and strength, making it ideal for creating lifelike crowns, veneers, and inlays that mimic the natural properties of enamel.
Metal-Ceramic Frames
Our CAD/CAM technology allows for the precise fabrication of metal-ceramic frames that serve as a robust foundation for crowns and bridges, ensuring longevity and reliability.
Titanium Bars for Implant-Supported Prosthesis
Titanium is favored for its exceptional strength and biocompatibility, making it the material of choice for creating durable and comfortable implant-supported prostheses.
PEEK for Implant-Supported Prosthesis
PEEK (Polyether Ether Ketone) is a high-performance thermoplastic that offers excellent mechanical and chemical resistance, ideal for patients seeking metal-free implant solutions.
PMMA (Polymethyl Methacrylate)
PMMA is used for temporary crowns, bridges, and mock-ups due to its advanced esthetic qualities, providing a reliable preview of the final restoration.
Custom Abutments
Our custom abutments are precisely designed and manufactured using CAD/CAM technology to ensure the perfect fit and optimal support for crowns and bridges.
